In this consultation blog you will find a collection of presentations on 3 key aspects of education. Rather than inviting a speaker into school to inform our community we are able to access many wonderful presentations using the web. This allows easy engagement for families in the comfort of their own home/ or the playground / or at cafes/ dinners etc etc
Our 3 categories involve -
Our children - what makes them who they are and what is the world they are being educated for?
Our curriculum - how do we shape the learning experiences for our children?
Our culture - how do we structure the school to best meet the needs of our children and how should we prioritize our investment?
CHILDREN'S LEARNING LANGUAGE
I have chosen an example from Muritai School for our front page. These are our eldest children from room 23 (year 7-8). Their teacher Stephen Eames took a snapshot of their learning in action...in response to "What are you working on at the moment?" The children all responded differently, but are they doing different things at the same time...well yes and no!. Have a listen to their learning language.

The Muritai School Board of Trustees is revising our school charter so is considering the school's strategic vision and plan beyond 2011 (covering the next 3-5 years). We are seeking community input so this blog is a collection of articles on education to help inform our school community about current and future trends in education. Feel free to leave a comment in the provided section.
